Artist work statement:
This is a charcoal working drawing for the work "The Best a Man Can Get" a self portrait of the artist that was part of "Love the Skin You're In" shown at GUSFORD|los angeles in 2014 and short listed for The John Ruskin Prize in 2015.
These works aim to re-advertise the image of flesh that is more closely comparable to reality and the way we experience it and interact with it daily, rather than the vision that is portrayed and exploited through media and industry.
